The mission of North River Lacrosse is to allow boys and girls with enthusiasm for lacrosse to play lacrosse and develop their skills throughout the summer, fall and winter.

There is nothing like playing college lacrosse, and every member of our Skipjacks staff is 100% committed to helping any player with a goal of playing in college achieve that goal.  However, it is important to note right up front that our priority is helping our Skipjacks find THE BEST FIT as it relates to the college they decide to attend and the team they play for.
The "best" things that college lacrosse offers to the student athlete are not exclusive to any one division, league, or school.  So, we work with our Skipjacks to navigate through the oceans of options out there and help find the school and program that fits the player best.  It makes no difference to us whether that is Div 1, Div 2, Div 3, or Club...  We can help you get there.

Our goal is to ensure that all players with the ability and interest have an opportunity to play in college.  We organize our teams in a manner that can allow these players the appropriate showcasing opportunities and we offer extensive recruiting support for those interested.

Included in our High School Skipjacks tuition are the following Support and Resources:
  • Fall Recruiting Seminar:  We will walk you through everything.  The options, the landscape, the timeline, and most importantly how to navigate it all to ensure you find the school and program that is right for you.  We will also be bringing in a college coach(s) to give his perspective and add to the discussion.
  • Membership (new!): We have a “club membership” with Lacrosse  Meaning every player and coach in the high school program will have a membership to  They will have an online player profile and some amazing functionality as it relates to communicating with college coaches and showcasing yourself.  A rep will be here this fall to go through everything.
  • Game Film-  At least 2/3rds of all our high school games will be filmed and available on our website 72 hours after the tournament.
  • Website Resources (See password protected pages)
  • Showcase Camp Support- We suggest that any player interested in playing in college attend individual showcase camps and we help in a number of ways to help you target the camps that best fit your target schools (or school type)
  • Reactive Player Representation- Meaning we will gladly follow up with any college coach interested in more info on you.

Available to any family interested in enhanced Recruiting Support and Resources can invest in the following:

  • 1on1 family consult meeting (new!): Sit down meeting with Chris McGuirk (Skipjacks high school director) to discuss and map out the options, the best fits for the player, and the process to put the player in the best position going forward.
  • Coach “Advocate” (new!): Each player will have a coach in our system who will advocate for him throughout the process.  He will proactively reach out to colleges of interest and look to provide assistance to ensure those colleges know the player and get a good look at him. Our advocates are all high school, college, or professional coaches with ties to current college programs /coaches and an history of helping place kids into college lacrosse programs.
